Chevy Spark vs. Ford Fiesta

Both the Chevy Spark and Ford Fiesta are considered subcompact cars which essentially means, at any used auto dealer in Chicagoland, the Chevy Spark and Ford Fiesta are among the smallest cars available.

As a result, either one of these options is super convenient when it comes to parking in tight spaces or fitting in small garages. Plus, you get fantastic gas mileage with either one. In short, either one is a great option, but here’s a quick overview of both if you’re deciding between the two.

Chevy Spark

The first Chevy Spark debuted in 2013 and it’s been a popular seller for customers looking for a versatile commuter car with great gas mileage.

The interior of the Spark provides seating for four in two rows of comfortable seats that come standard with cloth covering. And even though the Spark is small, it has plenty of space to give tall Chicagoans the headroom they need to be comfortable. You’ll also have a solid-sized cargo space and the ability to fold down the back seats as needed.

The width of the Spark is 62.9 inches and the height of it is 61 inches. The Chevy Spark comes in a variety of bold colors including Red Hot, Orange Burst, Blue Metallic, Passion Fruit, and many more.

When the Spark debuted in 2013, it had a horsepower of 84. In the latest year model of 2019, the Spark’s horsepower had climbed to 98. Additionally, driving the Spark in the city you can expect mpg of 28 to 32 and 37 to 38 on the highway.

Ford Fiesta

The last Ford Fiesta model was released in 2019 and Ford has announced that the 2019 model will be the last in North America. That said, since the Fiesta debuted in 2011, there are still plenty of great Fiesta models to choose from.

Fiesta’s seats come standard with cloth upholstery and the interior seats up to five. The ride inside the Fiesta is nice and quiet even at highway speeds and, despite its diminutive size, the Fiesta is plenty comfortable, even on long rides. Also, because the Fiesta is available as a sedan or a hatchback, the interior experience will vary slightly depending on which model you choose.

Like the Chevy Spark, the Ford Fiesta stands out at used auto dealers in Illinois with its wide array of bold, dynamic colors. In fact, the Fiesta is available in 10 different colors that you won’t find on any other Fords. And, just because it’s small doesn’t mean the Fiesta isn’t stylish with a sleek design that’ll turn heads.

Smaller cars require less power to get going but the Fiesta has plenty. While the first model’s horsepower came in around 120, the newest models can get up to 197 horsepower, depending on which model level you choose. However, whichever year you choose, you’ll enjoy great fuel efficiency of 28 to 29 mpg in the city and 37 to 38 mpg on the highway.
